Yesterday we returned home after a full day spent at this gem of a place: 
Today I'm finding happy reminders of the lovely day: sand collected in the bottom of tote bags, wet swimsuits and towels hanging to dry, and slightly sun-kissed faces (despite multiple sunscreen applications!)
And Mom- Happy Birthday! Hope your day is as sunny and bright! We love you!

Just beautiful. Is that a Great Lake or the Atlantic? How wonderful to be able to take a day trip to a large body of water -- I can't imagine such a thing! We're eight hours from Lake Michigan and a gazillion hours from any ocean.
Happy b-day to your mom! If her big day is actually today (7th), then she and my grandma are b-day buddies!

We went to Lake Ontario which is about 2 hours from us. I'm so grateful for my brother-in-law's family for so graciously hosting us. The weather, food and company was fantastic.
We otherwise don't get to go to sandy beaches unless we travel seven (plus lots of traffic) hours. And yes today is actually my mom's day. I think 7/7 is a great birth date. Happy Birthday wishes to your grandma!

Whew, I am away from internet for a week and there is so much to catch up on here on Mama Craft! It looks like a fun and beautiful holiday. I love the second to last photo of the silhouette in the sunset.

We live really close to Lake Ontario too, on the Canadian side...can't say we ever go into the lake.
