It's Ava's half birthday....
So half of a cake was in order.
And it's a snowy day here with temperatures hovering just around freezing. Seems there won't be many more days to capture snow piling up like this, although I could be very wrong about that.

Oh, I love that idea-- half cakes! I'll have to remember that..!
What did you do with the other half?
I cut one layer in half, stacked it together and frosted it to eat that day. I wrapped up the remaining, unfrosted layer and stuck it in the freezer for another day.
